NCSE encourages undergraduate and graduate students to participate at the Annual Conference. Here are a number of reasons why students should attend the NCSE Annual Conference.
Student Focused Session – NCSE is organizing a student career panel, Career Pathways and Opportunities in Environment and Sustainability, with speakers from Lyft, Clif Bar, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Arizona State University. This panel will give an insight on the career paths of these leaders and provide time for Q&A. Find out more.
Networking Opportunities – Networking is a big part of any conference and the NCSE Annual Conference is no different. The NCSE Annual Conference brings together hundreds of scientists, educators, researchers, policy-makers, and non-profit leaders. Bring your business cards and be sure to attend the networking events. You never know who you may meet at NCSE 2019.
Present a Poster – Students interested in presenting should consider submitting a poster presentation. Posters are visual representations of research and are a great way to highlight research projects. The call for posters has closed for the 2019 Annual Conference. It will open in the Spring for NCSE 2020.
Discounted Registration – A discounted registration rate is available for students interested in attending the conference. Student groups of five or more from one institution can receive an additional 20 percent off registration. Consider reaching out to clubs on campus to find a group of students interested in attending. Contact Natalie Koo at firstname.lastname@example.org to register a student group.
